Here at Servatruc we carry out all types of forklift training including basic, refresher, conversion and familiarisation through to specific job training and material handling. Our courses cover a wide range of forklift trucks, access equipment and lorry loading cranes too.

So if you're looking to hire or purchase some new forklift trucks for your depot, you will want to ensure that your team are fully prepared to use this new equipment, safely, efficiently and productively. Our forklift training services will make sure your team are up to the task.

We can conduct your training course on your site or at our training centre for complete flexibility. We do recommend where possible to train at our facility as we can guarantee that you will be working with the latest equipment and machinery and the course can also continue uninterrupted for a consistent experience. We can also ensure that there will be adequate space for driver tuition, examinations and a room for theory presentations and other off vehicle exercises.

We always ensure that each member of your team gets adequate time on the machines and our instructors are ready to answer and help with anything you or your colleagues are unsure of and need more help with.

We are accredited with the 'Independent Training Standards Scheme And Register' (ITSSAR) who are recognised by the Health & Safety commission as an accredited body. This ensures that all of our training courses comply with the Health & Safety commissions' code of practice.

After you have successfully completed your particular training course you will receive a nationally recognised operator's certificate and forklift license.
If you wish to operate a forklift truck, you are required undertake a course of basic training as set out by the Health & Safety commission.

The basic forklift training course provides you and your operators with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate a lift truck and pass the necessary operator tests.

Our practical element of the training course is designed to provide you with the skills to operate a forklift truck in a safe and efficient way. Once completed, you will be required to undertake these tests before you gain your license and certificate.

Before you move onto the more advanced and specific courses you must a valid basic training certificate and license.

We highly recommend refresher training course for individuals who are both inexperienced or have many years of forklift operational experience as this training focuses on the core elements of driver training to ensure that bad habits are ironed out, practical skills are improved and the safety of you and your team is assured. Regular refresher training has actually been proven to save businesses money due to the fact that the machinery is being used more efficiently, the staff drivers are operating the forklifts safely and repair costs are reduced.

The course is for 1 day and a maximum of 3 trainees per instructor helps us ensure that all of the trainees get a consistent training experience where problem areas are focused on and overcome. The refresher course involves an instructor demonstration of the practical test, trainee's practice and corrective tuition, followed by a trainee's practical test. Once this course has been completed successfully the trainee's license and certificate will be updated.
Conversion training is for when you have already completed a full course of basic training on one type of forklift truck and wish to learn how to operate different machinery and material moving equipment.

With all of our courses there will be a practical element to this test which will involve a structured assessment on the basic skills and an appropriate operator test to conclude the training.
